Based on a book of the same name, this sweet-natured movie follows the journey of four teenage friends and one pair of lucky jeans. Like many viewers, I was surprised to actually like this movie. It's cheesy, a bit silly and typically teen-movie but you know what? It's pretty good! It will have you laughing, crying and cringing all in one!

So meet the girls. It's kind of like the Spice Girls to be honest in terms of character types. Bridget is bossy, beautiful, sporty and a little bit wild - she basically flirts her way to whatever she wants. Whilst Lena is the opposite with her shy, self-concious attitude towards life. Carmen is intelligent, her character touched me the most actually because she faced some difficult decisions she had to rationalise her way out of. So that leaves Tibby, a hard-faced rebellious girl wanting to make a name for herself through film. Each girl has something to offer the viewer, providing the perfect combination. I found myself sucked into the lives, worries and triumphs of each one of them; to be honest I feel like they're my friends now! Each actor did such a great job of portraying their characters in a genuinely believable way.

So what's with the pants? Well basically they fit all of the girls, defying the laws of nature, and as such they are deemed the lucky pants. Each girl heads off on her own adventure for the summer, from summer camp to Santorini so the pants have to be shipped from girl to girl over the course of the summer. Why? So that they can record the best thing that happens to each of them whilst they're wearing them. Unsurprisingly the pants experience quite an adventure with each girl, bringing them luck, love, heartbreak and fun.

Okay, so the storyline isn't brilliant and it has some cheesy elements. But I challenge you not to love it anyway. You'll be rooting for the girls just as much as I was - and I usually hate these kind of movies!
