Onni menehtyi 2022 Altzheimerin tautiin. Vuosien sairaus ei ollut kuitenkaan tehnyt hänestä kömpelöä tai vihaista sillä miehen jäämistöstä löytyneet levyt ovat täydellisyyttä hipoavassa kunnossa. Siskon mukaan heidän äiti oli kasvattanut lapsiaan kunnioittamaan esineitä kuten eläviä olentoja.
