Bombscare/UK Assasins split cd I was a Bombsacre fan from I heard the demo they sent me years ago which ended up on the Music For The Underpriveliged split cd, they also made a brilliant self released album so when they mailed me saying they had recorded a bunch of new songs and would I want to hear them I was delighted. The new songs took a little bit of listening to grow on me but now I really really like them and was very interested in getting them released but the problem was money and the fact that as they are from Southern Australia people in Europe can not see them play so I figured it might be difficult to sell 1000 cds of them so I decided it would have to be a split release with another band but I wasnt sure who, then came a demo cd from UK Assasins from Cumbria, England and I knew this was the band I wanted, another 3 piece like Bombscare with political lyrics but a more aggresive sound, they said their influnces were Subhumans and Discharge so I thought this was a good pairing, 2 angry punk bands from different sides of the world plus people in Europe can see UK Assasins so Im thinking it should sell better this way. Another problem I had was the money to press the cds so yet again my old comrades Mark Rock Em Dead and Ian Weird came in on this release plus a new label from Sheffield run by a bloke called Chris, label is called Record Rebellion. This is angry political diy punk at its best, released March 2007.
