Chuck Palahniuk's nine novels are the bestselling Snuff, Rant, Haunted, Lullaby and Fight Club, which was made into a film by director David Fincher, Diary, Survivor, Invisible Monsters, and Choke, which was made into a film by director Clark Gregg. He is also the author of the non-fiction profile of Portland Fugitives and Refugees and the non-fiction collection Stranger Than Fiction. He lives in the Pacific Northwest.

This book, a collection of essays and short pieces written by Chuck over the past few years, was an excellent read. Although it wasn't as engaging as, for instance, Lullaby or Fight Club, it was quite fascinating to see where he found the inspiration for his stories, as well as finding out the lengths that Chuck would go to to research the background for his books.
Overall, if you're a fan of his work, then this is recommended. If you've not read anything by him, I'd say you need to read Fight Club, Survivor and Lullaby amongst others before you have a look at this. But once you have read those, then do try to pick this up, because it'll give you a greater appreciation for his work.
