While he's been cited as an influence (and it's very clear why) by people like Jarvis Cocker and Morrissey, it's incredibly rare to hear anyone bring him up these days - especially those under the age of 50. However, The Last Will and Testament of Jake Thackray is one of my favourite debuts by a songwriter.
