Two former space smugglers are given the task to investigate the Haunted Stars for an evil count's battlestation. Thus starts STARCRASH, the 1979 Italian scfi movie riding on the shirt tails of STAR WARS.

Featuring former Bond girl, Caroline Munro, and the perma-grinned,Marjoe Gortner as the smugglers, Stella Star and Akton, and also starring a young David Hasselhoff in the role of the Emperor's son, STARCRASH has more in common with the FLASH GORDON serials of the Thirties than scfi of the Seventies; with its gaudy colours, the costumes and the not so special effects,
STARCRASH is quite a fun movie, as long as it's not taken too seriously.
