In 20XX, Maria, a robot, came to Ueno's house while he was still a child. Programmed to take care of him, Maria was given to him by his parents. After his parents pass away, Ueno experiments with Maria by attempting to program her for sexual functions. Years pass and Ueno falls in love with Maria but she eventually runs out of power, leaving their love unconsummated.

Maid-Droid is gifted to the young Uneo. As an old man he reflects on his relationship with his robo-cutie, reminisces about his lifelong crush and his attempts to upgrade her to your basic pleasure model.
Meanwhile a series of brutal rapes are happening all over the city. The attacker is eluding Detective Yuri who is starting to suspect her quarry is not quite human.

Maid-Droid does indeed flirt with the fertile Blade Runner waters of the ethical and social taboos that will occur when androids attain the level of realism to have sex with humans. The tone is occasionally reminiscent of Jean Rollin doing Pinocchio, however lets be straight, the movie is principally interested in getting the viewer excited by cute shots of Maid-Droid, ass in the air as she cleans house on all fours, and god is she cute. Even though she's no good at any domestic chores.

Akiho Yoshizawa actually gives a lot of dignity to what is a pretty thankless role and the movie tries for a melancholic sombre atmosphere. But don't worry as we're soon back to another steamy robo-girl sequence and you can test drive the fully upgraded model today!
