Olivia Newton-John (s. 26. syyskuuta 1948 Cambridge) on englantilaissyntyinen australialainen näyttelijä ja laulaja.

Nuoruus

Olivia syntyi vuonna 1948 Cambridgessa, jossa hän asui viisivuotiaaksi. Silloin hänen perheensä muutti Australiaan, josta hänen isänsä oli saanut työtarjouksenMelbournen yliopiston Ormond Collegen johtajana. Voitettuaan laulukilpailun Olivia muutti takaisin Englantiin äitinsä kanssa. Hänellä oli monia hittibiisejä ja hän esiintyi televisiossa Cliff Richardin kanssa sekä elokuvassa Tomorrow (1970).

Läpimurto

Parhaiten Newton-John tunnetaan musikaalista Grease, sekä siihen liittyvästä samannimisestä elokuvasta vuodelta 1978. Hänen parinaan oli John Travolta.

Sir Cliff Richard, OBE (oikealta nimeltään Harry Rodger Webb; s. 14. lokakuuta 1940 Lucknow, Intia) on brittiläinen pop- ja rocklaulaja. The Shadowstoimi Cliff Richardin taustayhtyeenä 1950- ja 1960-lukujen taitteessa. The Shadows alkoi menestyä instrumentaaliyhtyeenä 1960-luvun alussa ja yhteistyö Richardin kanssa hiipui.
