With song names including “Drugs I’ve Taken,” “Bong Rip,” “Shit on My Shoe,” and the eloquently succinct “Fuck,” White Fang has delivered an album that adds new definition to the concept of charming immaturity. Loud, obnoxious, and often preceded by spoken word snippets that ensure that you don’t miss the intended bone-headedness of the actual song even if you can’t make out the stupidity of the lyrics, Chunks is sure to amuse most boys under fourteen. That said, it’s also pretty solid stoner punk that pays homage to The Ramones, Dead Kennedys, and early Green Day. As that band had Dookie, so follows Chunks. While the Fang may have a pretty narrow demo , they’re sure to command adoration from that particular consumer, for the songs are tight and expertly delivered and blast from the speakers with honesty and meaning.
