Product Description

A wild, beautiful woman—who bit off a man’s tongue to escape his assault—now carries the life of the very man she loathed!

An intense exploration of human love and hatred, steeped in vivid eroticism and grand-scale spectacle!

The setting is the twilight of a dynasty.

In the highlands of Hubei, as spring begins to stir, a group of aristocrats escorting a palanquin toward the capital is ambushed simultaneously by two factions: the bandits led by "Maro of Hakamano" and a group under the command of "Masuke of the Gorge."

Tensions flare between the two gangs over the division of their spoils, but the conflict is resolved when Masuke agrees to take only the princess hidden inside the palanquin.

However, Sute—Maro’s adopted daughter and wife—is deeply moved by the sorrowful separation of the princess from her lady-in-waiting. She secures custody of the princess, promising that, at a later date, she will provide something of equal value in exchange.

Sute ensures the princess reaches her destination safely. Upon parting near the capital, the princess gifts Sute her mushi no tareginu (a traditional veiled headpiece) as a keepsake, vowing to offer her aid should the need ever arise.

Back in the mountains, while Maro is away, Masuke arrives and demands Sute’s body as payment for the princess.

Despite her fierce resistance, Sute is ultimately overpowered and violated.

Maro and his men, having returned after a failed night raid—with Maro suffering a severe leg wound—are left in shock: they find Masuke dead, his tongue bitten off, and Sute standing there, a terrifying, fierce figure.

Yet, as it turns out, Sute is pregnant with Masuke’s child…
