Bodom After Midnight was a Finnish melodic death metal supergroup from Espoo, formed in 2020 by guitarists Alexi Laiho and Daniel Freyberg of Children Of Bodom after the dissolution of the band. The band is named after the second track from the album Follow the Reaper, because of legal issues with former bandmates. Drummer Waltteri Väyrynen (Paradise Lost) and bassist Mitja Toivonen (ex-Santa Cruz) completed the initial line up, along with the touring keyboardist Lauri Salomaa.
In an April 2021 interview with Loudwire, guitarist Daniel Freyberg stated that Bodom After Midnight would not continue without Laiho: "Unfortunately, Bodom After Midnight as an active band is pretty much going to be buried with Alexi. We don't really feel comfortable using the name Bodom without Alexi, because it's so connected to him."
