#907 Huippukuntoiset CD ja DVD "For Circa's third new album, the band, led by former Yes members Billy Sherwood and Tony Kaye, haven't changed their sound from earlier albums despite changing their guitarist and drummer. Johnny Bruhns and Ronnie Ciago replace Jimi Haun and Jay Schellen, respectively. Circa:'s music remains dense and tightly packed progressive rock with Sherwood's excellent bass work and Kaye's Hammond organ highlighting the tracks. As on previous albums there are a couple of lengthy tracks balanced with shorter compositions that bridge the gap between pop and prog. Sherwood's trademark production style is firmly in place on And So On. Vocals are layered with effects, the bass is our front and there is plenty of opportunities for all of the musicians to have their moment in the sun. Bruhns will remind one of other gentlemen who have played guitar for Sherwood and Kaye's old band, namely Steve Howe and Trevor Rabin. Bruhns has a Yes pedigree himself as he previously was the guitarist for another former Yes keyboard player, Patrick Moraz. Both Bruhns and Ciago seem to have meshed quickly and easily with Kaye and Sherwood. With Sherwood and Kaye their will always be a nod to their history with Yes that will be in the music of Circa: but as they go on, the overt Yes musical references has become less and less as the band continues to forge an identity of their own. If you've liked previous efforts by Circa: you won't be disapointed with And So On. "
