This horror thriller and sequel to Don’t
Breathe (2016) stars Stephen Lang as
Norman Nordstrom aka “The Blind Man”,
a world-weary man who lives in a seclu-
ded cabin with an orphaned young girl
whom he helped raise after a house fire
claimed her parents' lives. Only familiar
with each others’ company and the quiet
of nature, their world is turned upside
down after the girl is kidnapped; forcing
The Blind Man to leave behind all he
knows to track her down. Directed, co-
written and co-produced by Rodo Saya-
gues.

How dangerous can an old blind man be?
That's a question posed in Fede Alvarez's
2016 horror thriller, Don't Breathe. Five
years later, Rodo Sayagues takes the
reins and directs Don't Breathe 2. The re-
sult is an electrifying home invasion hor-
ror film driven by revenge and slammed
with brutal, gruesome violence.

In addition to some decent storytelling -
at least by horror movie standards - the
film features another great performance
by Lang, who centers the film. The guttu-
ral cries that reverberate through his ho-
arse throat convey pain and surprise, as
though every strike he endures is one
that could end his life. When combined
with his soldierly physique and dramatic
portrayal of the physicality of violence,
he captivates audiences with his screen
presence and motion.

On the whole, Don't Breathe 2 is a sequ-
el that's worth watching. Unlike many ot-
her horror sequels, it entertains audien-
ces very well while adding a bit of depth
to the storyline. The addition of a memo-
rable setting keeps things fresh, as does
a few modest twists. Those who enjoy
the visceral thrill of a home invasion hor-
ror film beset by brutality and violence
will be rather pleased.

Elokuvan kunto:

Nyt on sellai juttu, että saapuessaan
postitse 4K UHD -elokuvan muovikotelo
oli tuhannen päreinä. Joten oli toimittava
seuraavasti: ensin oli otettava elokuvan
muovikelmu pois ja sen jälkeen rikki
menneen muovikotelon tilalle uusi kote-
lo. Siitä huolimatta, että elokuvassa ei
ole muovikelmua, se on uusi eikä eloku-
vaa ole katsottu. Elokuvan paperikannen
selkä oli kuitenkin saanut hiukan osumaa
n. 80% matkalle paperikannen selän pi-
tuudesta. Paperin - vain ja ainoastaan -
selässä on pientä ryppyä siellä täällä -
mutta paperi on kuitenkin täysin ehjä.
Ns. Milli-Ville voi pitää ryppyjä aivan kau-
heina, siinä missä toinen voi sanoa, että
"No, eipä siinä näy oikein mitään. Mitäs
tosta..." Joten tämä on tilanne. Eli eloku-
van muovikotelo on uusi, molemmat le-
vyt (4K UHD- ja blu-ray-levy) ovat täysin
virheettömiä ja paperikannen selkää lu-
kuun ottamatta paperikannen etu- ja ta-
kannet ovat moitteettomassa uudenve-
roisessa kunnossa.

Puuttuvan tehtaan muovikelmun ja
paperikannen rypistyneen selän takia
elokuvan yleisarvosana on "hyvä".

Muutoin kaikki muu elokuvassa on
uutta ja täysin virheettömässä kun-
nossa eli:

- Musta 4K UHD -muovikotelo
- Paperikannet
