La Palette Bleue is the European (primarily French) release of blues guitarist Duke Robillard's album New Blues for Modern Man, originally put out by Dixiefrog Records in 1999.
• Relation to U.S. Release: It is identical to New Blues for Modern Man (released via Shanachie and Stony Plain) with one key difference: La Palette Bleue features 13 tracks, including the extra song "I May Be Crazy".
• Musical Vibe: True to its French title ("The Blue Palette"), the album showcases a wide and diverse range of blues and roots styles.
• Recording Approach: Recorded live in the studio with minimal takes, the record delivers a raw, spontaneous, and high-energy performance.
