Fresh was actually the brainchild of producers Simon Napier-Bell & Ray Singer, hiring circuit band Brother Bung (minus Bob Pierce) claiming they were from Borstal Prison due to their perceived lack of musical experience & to deliver a concept album to RCA Records. The group was allowed to perform some on their debut LP alongside session musicians, but were totally replaced by their second album Fresh Today.
