"The Godz were a very experimental, footloose and fancy free, folk rock and rollers. They knew that their music wasn't commercial, so you'd have to call them Underground, punk, folk, rock. From the late 60's. Jimmy McCarthy, Larry Kessler and Paul Thornton, were the creative center of the band. I personally like this album, it's interesting to hear the honesty that it projects. right from the lower east side of NYC. If you collect esoteric gems from the 60's, this is definitely one for you. You might say they're from rhe school of The Fugs and other cutting edge experimental groups of the era. Hats off to these innovators, however painful it is to listen to, without stuff like this, Elton John & Billy Joel would follow you to your next life, and lullaby you for eternity. In other words "vive la difference" long live our freedom to express ourselves."
