Indochine is a French New Wave/rock band, formed in 1981. The band was very successful in France in the 1980s, as well as other parts of continental Europe and Latin America, with songs like "L'Aventurier" and "Canary Bay". The band has sold over 10 million albums and singles, making them the best selling French band. This song, "L'Aventurier" written by singer Nicola Sirkis, is a tribute to Bob Morane, the hero of series of books created in 1953 by the Belgian writer Henri Vernes. Morane is an upholder of the law and an adventurer who travels around the world.
