Background :
Jimmy Davis & Junction were a short-lived American hard rock/Southern rock band based out of Memphis, Tennessee. Fronted by local singer/guitarist Jimmy Davis, the band was active from the mid- to late-1980s, scoring a minor hit on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1987 with "Kick the Wall," which also cracked the Top 40 on the Mainstream Rock chart.
Another revered piece of AOR is this southern tinged effort from Memphis rocker Jimmy Davis.
He gets a bit of assistance from some well known names in the rock biz,
including guitarist Joe Walsh ( Eagles ), and ex Cobra man Jack Holder .
It's got hooks, exceptional melodies in the right places, and the keyboards and guitars compliment each other to perfection.
Added to that the breathy vocal style of Davis over the top of it and you get a classic cocktail of AOR.
There isn't a weak moment here, and for 38 minutes or so, it's a great listen.
