"The last song in Abbey Road recording Abbey Road studio 2 was the best studio I have ever worked in and an occasion I will remember all my life. The actual ambience and natural acoustics in this studio are by far the very best I have heard. Just to have recorded in the place the Fab Four had done it all was a unique and unforgettable experience. David Paton who plays bass on the Album has worked at Abbey Road before in the 70's and had Alan Parsons as his engineer, in fact recorded a No.1 song 'January' which he wrote and recorded. He then went on to play with Macca on Mull of Kintyre, then Elton John for 8 years. On all these songs I have tried not to copy the Beatles (which is impossible) but to keep the feel of all the great melodies from the 60's. On track 8 on the Last song in Abbey Road, 'I don't know why' I hired string players from one of the best London orchestras. All the best Kenny."
"The songs on this album where written by my friend Ed Jones and myself with our love of all things Beatles.
“Dedicated to John, Paul, George & Ringo. Since 1963 their words and melodies have stayed with us through the happy and sad times.
Growing up listening to the Beatles gave us the inspiration to sing and write music. To record at the most well known studio in the world… ‘The Beatles Studio 2’ in Abbey road was for us, the fulfilment of a dream, and one which we will remember for the rest of our Lives. The biggest musical love of our lives has always been ‘The Beatles’ that is why Ed Jones and myself decided to write this album, not to try and copy the Fab four, (as if) but to celebrate the overall sound and good feeling they gave in their music.
In these songs we have tried to make them sound as if they have the ambience and good melodies of the great songs written back then. Being writers and musicians we all strive to get the best results, with the music being the real reward”."
