Contains Max’s first recorded live shows at the Holborn Empire in 1938, together with two further routines recorded live at the Finsbury Park Empire between October 1939 and September 1942. For good measure we have also included wartime recordings with an appreciative forces audience and two extra ‘studio’ recordings.
With his machine gun like repartee and his exotic flowered suits and kipper ties Max Miller was certainly a true original….as the man once said of himself "there’ll never be another" !!!
