Morning Glory: Two Suns Worth (1968)

San Franciscon hippibändin, Jefferson Airplanen tapaisen (naislaulaja) Morning Gloryn ainoa albumi. John Cale äänitti. Tämä on uudempi painos, Fallout 2008, 180gr, rajoitettu painos. Harvinainen jo tämäkin.

This Overlooked Acid Pop Treat Has Been Compared to Albums by Jefferson Airplane and the Mamas and the Papas, Though It's Less Experimental Than the Former and More Psychedelic Than the Latter. Originally Released in May 1968, it was Engineered by John Cale (Fresh from the Velvet Underground) and Produced by Abe 'voco' Kesh (Familiar to Psych Fans for his Work with Blue Cheer, the Savage Resurrection and Others). A Solid Collection of West Coast Hippie Rock featuring the Hypnotic Psych Classic "Jelly Gas Flame", it Makes Its Long-overdue CD Debut Here

Morning Glory Biography by Richie Unterberger

California group Morning Glory released one album, 1968's Two Suns Worth, that was heavily influenced by Jefferson Airplane and the Mamas & the Papas, particularly in its female-male vocal blends. More psychedelic than the Mamas & the Papas, and poppier than the Airplane, it featured lead vocals by Gini Graybeal on a set of almost entirely original material, the majority written by bassist/rhythm guitarist/singer Bob Bohanna (though some other members contributed in that regard as well). Producing was Abe "Voco" Kesh, most known for his work with Blue Cheer.
