Yhdysvaltalainen Nora Keita Jemisin (s. 1972) julkaisi ensimmäisen romaaninsa vuonna 2010. Hän on ensimmäinen kirjailija, jonka trilogian kaikki osat ovat saaneet scifi- ja fantasiakirjallisuuden Hugo-palkinnon. Jemisinin Murtunut maailma -trilogian (2015–2017) kolmas osa sai myös parhaan romaanin Nebula-palkinnon. Suomessa sarja sai Tähtivaeltaja- ja Tähtifantasia-ehdokkuudet. Jemisin on saanut myös muita fantasiakirjallisuuden palkintoja sekä MacArthur ”Genius” Fellowshipin poikkeuksellisesta lahjakkuudesta omalla alallaan.
