Savoy Brown is a pioneering English blues-rock band formed in London in 1965. Guided for nearly six decades by founding guitarist Kim Simmonds, the group became famous for their energetic blend of Chicago-style blues and boogie-rock.

With Kim Simmonds and Chris Youlden combining their talents in Savoy Brown's strongest configuration, 1969's A Step Further kept the band in the blues-rock spotlight after the release of their successful Blue Matter album.

One side comprises some great studio numbers whilst the second side is devoted to a live recording of their stage favourite 'The Savoy Brown Boogie' recorded live in Detroit.
