Leslie West was an American guitarist, singer and songwriter. He was the co-founder, guitarist and co-lead vocalist of the rock band Mountain. West was named the 245th greatest guitarist of all time by Rolling Stone in 2023.
Leslie West is probably best known for his work with Mountain but as a solo artist he continued his career during breaks from Mountain in the mid 70s. The Leslie West Band was the band that West formed to play solo concerts in order to promote his solo album The Great Fatsby. The band included former Mountain drummer Corky Laing and also future Foreigner guitarist and song writer Mick Jones.
