Comments: Melodic and progressive metal outfit Token's second outing, Punch, follows up where their debut CD, Tomorrowland, left off. With new vocalist Mattias Ahlen, new keyboardist Niclas Holmkvist and new drummer Patrik Johansson joining Johan Sjoberg (g) and Niclas Holmkvist (b).

Token's song structures incorporate crunching rhythm guitars, melodic and edgy vocals, supporting keyboard melodies, and guitar solos. The CD features 14 audio tracks and a video bonus track of "Tear Down The Wall." Vocalist Mattias Ahlen voice is similiar to former vocalist HB Anderson (Fatal Smile). The band mixes up the sonic structure of their music by utilzing different instrumentation such acoustic/electric guitars and varied vocal deliveries. Through each track they maintain the melodic vibe which forms the foudation for their music.

The opening track "Punch In," leads into the melodic rocker "Tear Down The Wall," which is a solid track featuring a great chorus. There are a few filler songs on the CD but songs that standout include; "Tear Down The Wall," "Sometimes," "Wake Up," "Save Me," "Can't Heal" and "Turn Back The Time."

Favorite track: Tear Down The Wall - Sometimes - Wake Up
