netistä: Apart from a few clunkers, this is a forgotten gem of an album. Pitched somewhere between eccentric pop, psychedelic folk and even a touch of music-hall, the albums highlight must surely be the mesmerising "Song For S.P." a touching ballad recorded on a Summer's day in the gardens of the Manor, bookended by a typically atonal Fred Frith guitar solo. A really nice record.

If you see it, get it. Especially if you dig Kevin Ayers, Gong, King Crimson, and of course July, which was Tom Newman’s previous band.
One of the most unique albums in my collection, that is still catchy and recognizable as music. Hard to describe. But one of those records perfect for when you feel you have nothing to listen to and need a musical reset. Suddenly you think of records you’d like to hear.
