Dutch saxophonist/vocalist Candy Dulfer
is a charismatic and gifted performer
known for her funky, genre-bending take
on smooth jazz, dance-pop, and instru-
mental R&B. Initially brought to the pub-
lic's attention via appearances with Prince,
Dulfer (whose influences range from Son-
ny Rollins and Miles Davis to Maceo Par-
ker and David Sanborn) went on to beco-
me a hugely successful crossover jazz star.

A lot of us got to know Candy Dulfer for
the hit she made with Dave Stewart "Lily
Was Here." In this recording of her live
performance with a back up band in Am-
sterdam, Dulfer turns up the power with
her sax and inspires other musicians to
do the same on their instruments, She
definitely enjoys performing to the max.
